I noted in an article last summer that we offer auto and home insurance discounts to certain groups, including teachers. But, as another a way of saying thank you to educators, we also offer grants to teachers several times a year.
The insurance discounts are available to all qualifying teachers — full-time, licensed K-12 teachers and full-time college or university professors and instructors.
Several times a year, teachers can enter to win a $2,500 or even a $100,000 educational grant. The rest of us can help them win by voting daily to support their proposals. You can vote for as many teachers as you want each day.
Teachers have three opportunities each year to submit proposals to win a $2,500 grant. The next opportunity for submitting proposals will be in January/February, with voting in March. Winners will be announced in April.
Teachers can also submit proposals for a $2,500 grant in May and again in August/September.
In addition, six teachers win $100,000 educational grants each year. Those Dream Big Teacher Challenge grant applications can be submitted between January and June. Voting is in October. Winners are announced in December.
